    2. Chester “Fox” DeHart, age 87, of Orchard Avenue, Olive Hill, Ky., went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 9, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. He was born July 1, 1921, in Carter County, Ky., a son of the late John Vernon and Addie Sparks DeHart. Chester was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Olive Hill. He was owner and operator of the DeHart Barber Shop for 58 years, a retired 26-year employee of the Harbison-Walker Brickyard, a 53-year member of the Olive Hill Masonic Lodge #629, and the Scottish Rites and was also a member of the El Hasa Shrine in Ashland. He served his country during World War II with the United States Navy and was a survivor of the D-Day invasion in Normandy, France. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest DeHart; and two sisters, Marie McDowell and Bernice Huntsman. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alice Sue Barker DeHart; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Debbie DeHart of Olive Hill; and one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amy and Wayne Russell of Olive Hill. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, other family members, neighbors and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Olive Hill with Brother Mark Lilly and Brother Mike Blankenship officiating. Entombment will follow in the DeHart Cemetery on Square Lick Road in Olive Hill. Friends may20call after 4 p.m. today at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill and after noon Friday at the church. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. today by the Olive Hill Masonic Lodge #629 at the funeral home. Full military rites will be conducted by the Olive Hill American Legion Post #138 at the church. Members of the First Baptist Church of Olive Hill will serve as pallbearers. Customers, family, friends and neighbors will serve as honorary pallbearers. During his tenure, he received several commendations and monetary awards. George was raised in the Christian Church and was associated with the Church of God. Being a self-taught guitarist he shared his musical talent with several local churches and nursing homes. George was also a Charter Member of the Huber Heights VFW Post 3283, serving as!
