There is a Skinner family here in Nacogdoches, TX, but we have not found a link to my Gossage-Skinner line. SKINNER IFORMATION: John W. Skinner had a sister, Ella Skinner, who lived in the Houston, TX area - no more info. Much of my info comes from the Skinner Bible now belonging to John W. They were living near the Houston-Galveston, TX area when the Sept 8-9 1900 Great galveston Storm/Hurricane hit. She may have died in this storm. He was manager of the Thomas Scoggin Music Co. in Houston, TX. John W. Skinner married (2) 20 Dec 1905 Huntsville, Walker Co., TX to Ella Clementine Gossage (1883-1941) the dau of James Milton Gossage & Laura Olivia Cole of Dodge, Walker Co., TX. John was working at the Huntsville, TX as a prison guard and later worked in the oil fields at Kilgore, TX during the Oil Boom of 1931-1932, and in the oil fields of Oil City, LA.
