Mostly I would REALLY like to find the parents of Benjamin Allen Russell. One thing that strikes me is om March 4, 1819 Edward young Russell m. Elizabeth K. Gray. Now obviously this cannot be the son of Benjamin Russell as he would have been Minus 12 years of age at he time. Would or could I assume that this might be the brother of Benjamin Allen Russell in attempting to locate parents for him? I believe both were born in VA. Does anyone have Quaker Russells? I believe that his wife Saledia Stanley's family may connected to the VA QUAKER STANLEYS. I'm working in that direction now. Benjamin Allen "Allen" Russell b. [Salidy,Saledy listed marriage record; Sylettie as oral family; Saledia on tombstone] Benjamin Allen Russell was a potter and a farmer Seledia Stanley's parents were William Stanley b. about 1790 inVirginia and her mother Welthy (Weltha) REYNOLDS) Stanley b. about 1793 in Virginia. They were married in Greene Co. Tenn on November 29, 1810, with Joseph Reynolds as bondsman. Weltha's parents were Joseph and Mary ? Reynolds b. 1878 VA. Joseph died in 1839(Copy of Will) Naming his son Vincent as receiptant of all and care of Mary. Mary was still living with Vincent in 1850. There were all potters (pottery). Welthy and William Stanley were still in Greene Co. in 1850, with sons James A. age 18, farmer and Alexander age 14. A will for William Stanley is found in Neosho Co., Missouri in 1853 naming grandson Edward Young Russell as executor and names wife Welthy and sons James A. and Allen A. Stanley In June of 1858, derelict in his duties as executor Edward Young Russell is remove and William Stanley's son, Martin Stanley was named in his place.
