JAMES SPENCER was born 1805 in NC, moved to McNairy Co. TN in 1837 and then to Titus Co. TX in 1847. His eldest son James William Spencer was born December 15, 1834 in McNairy Co. TN, and died January 05, 1918 in Titus Co. Texas. He married MARTHA ELLENDER BYNUM. Unless, there was some children that died at a young age, their first child was not born until 1876, when he was 43 years old. Maybe this family are cousins of yours. I have all of the children's names and birth year of both the eldest and youngest James Spencer families if you need it. sharon church
