    3. Hi, East TX rooters In 1875 in Rusk county, William Andrew GANNON, m Izilla Zerelda Victoria EVANS. They lived and farmed (share-cropped ?) there, near Minden / Mt Enterprize, TX til about 1910 when they homesteaded land over in Desoto Parish, LA. I have a fair amount of info on William Andrew back til about 1840 in AL. But I have absolutely nothing about Izilla Zerelda Victoria except her tombstone and a line or two of census info. She used different given names from time to time. One time it was Isobella Victoria. Census says she was b in MS, her mother was b MS, and her father was supposedly b in TN. The EVANS and GANNONs may have migrated out of MS together. Another searcher tells me that Victoria's mother died in east TX and that Victoria's father married 2nd a woman named CHEWING. No info as to whether CHEWING is a maiden name or a widow's married name. The searcher / informant keeps putting me off, claiming that her info is all stored and not readily available. I have searched diligently (diligently, if not competently) for Victoria in MS. Have not yet gotten to search the east TX counties for 1860 / 1870 for her. Any clues, or info, or suggestions, or guesses would be most bodaciously welcome Chas Charles & Mildred Ann Gannon cga@juno.com 135 Munich Dr Madison, MS 39110-9082 601-372-7010 Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
