Howdy All, Wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the rootsweb Smith County Texas site? It opens for me but I can't access the documents. www.rootsweb.com/~txsmith I have been trying to check there for any record of my grandmother Gertrude FLOWERS who is mentioned in the obituary of her Uncle, R.L. MASTERS, as coming from the town of Troup to the services in 1910. She would have been 25 at the time and not yet married. Her family was from Sulpher Springs, Hopkins Co., TX. Have a feeling I'm going to find her marriage records in Smith - I think she married Eugene Herbert CASSIDY in 1913 and they head for CA. (Or he went ahead and she followed and they were married in CA.) Would at least like to rule out Smith co. if nothing else. It wasn't in Hopkins Co. according to records. Anyway would appreciate hearing from anyone on their ability to access this site. I keep getting a "Connection Timed Out" with each thing I try and open there. My system seems to be working fine so I'm just wondering if theres another trick to getting into the Smith Co. information.
