Her father was Amos POOL, vitals unknown, who was her father. Mother's name not known. Amos was allegedly killed in the Civil War - date/place/unit not known. After his death, Mary Pool was adopted by Ferrell Reilly of San Augustine, TX. Mary eventually married Patrick Smith, 7 Jul 1874, in San Augustine. The 1860 Fed Cen of San Augustine, TX has Amos living with a Solomon Miller and his family, who are from NC. Amos is also shown as being from NC.
