Very true. I seem to have the best of both worlds, my fathers family all being "Texans" from very, very early, and my mothers family ALL coming from Louisiana. Even my hubby, who IS NOT cajun, understands a lot, having lived in Chambers/Jefferson County all his life. When I tell him, "I think I'll go East this weekend, and spend some time at my cousins house." His immediate response is, to pace the floor, and tell me, "Pam, look, those people DON'T need a reason to party!!!" Then, I just tell him, I'm in good hands.
