I have the Wilson/Lewis Family Bible (first entry 1805).All but the first few entries are in Avoylles and Point Coupee,La. The wives making the entries about family info always refered to spouses as consort of whomever. I thought that it was an unusual practice and wording.I looked it up in the dictionary and it said it was an old method from Europe of defining relationship. Karen Kerr
