Karen I am one who has East Texas Roots, but that still does not make me a person who knows of the Cajuns ways. My dad never spoke of them. Maybe its because his family moved from Texas in 1916? He was born in 1905. You won't find any other family that laughs anymore than mine did and still does. Evidently Zydeco is somekind of music. We were dancers also to music. Yes we know computers was unheard of in the early 1900's. As to the crawfish and poke salad, that I know about, but not MAha berries. Oh well we learn more as each day ends. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, June 26, 1999 9:45 PM Subject: Decoding > It is difficult for me to beleive tht anyone with east Texas roots has no > familiarity with the Cajuns who live next door.
