I want to thank each of you for the help on the maps. I've gotten a lot of great ideas and sites to search. In my search for an elusive ancestor I came up with the idea to hang a large board with state's counties as they were when the family was passing through, this way I can glance up and make sure I'm posting or searching the correct county for the time period. The Internet has really opened up genealogy, I started 20 years ago when it involved months of waiting for answer backs, lots of wasted time and effort. But the downfall of the Internet is there is much there I don't remember where I've been and where I'm going!! I'm going to start logging this information on the board.
