Daniel D. CULP was apparently a friend of Adolpus STERNE according to Sterne's diary. Recently a descendent of Adolpus Sterne posted a query but I deleted their address. Adolpus Sterne was in New Orleans on business when he died 27 Mar 1852. Daniel D. Culp was in New Orleans on business when he died 11 Mar 1852. Both were living in East Texas. Can anyone help with the following: Were they traveling together? Was there some kind of epidemic going on in New Orleans in 1852? Daniel Culp's body was put on the steamship "Mexico". Where can I find info about ships of that time? Thanks Pat Culp
