I'm looking for a hole in my big BRICK WALL. All counties mentioned below are a good possibility. My g-grandmother was Josephine McLane (McClain) b. 1866 (possibly Trinity county) to Maranda Kate "Cassie" (Franklin) McLane and _________ McLane (McClain). The Franklin's lived in Trinity County before moving to Angelina County. Josephine was 14 years old in the 1880 census of Angelina County living with her grandfather, William Plummer Franklin, Sr. She married ________ King sometime between the 1880 census and 25 Aug,1884 when she married 2nd, James Washington Cheatham as "Mrs." Josephine King. I have not been able to find a marriage license for the King marriage. Josephine must have died between May, 1886, possibly when my grandmother was born, and 3 Aug, 1888 when James Cheatham married 2nd, Sarah Lavinia "Viny" McIntosh.
