Hello Everyone, This message interested me, since my own mother and my great aunt born in 1912 never had a birth certificate or thought they had one either. It was not until my mother passed over did I find a delayed certificates had been issued. Both of her parents were deceased. My uncle applied for the certificates for both and told me that he had to find a person to swear that they were aware when the births occurred, that they knew the parents and were living close by.
