Hello to everyone! Our Hall ancestors lived in the Burkeville, Newton, Jasper area for many years. My husband's great grandfather, John Clay Hall died in Burkeville July 12, 1853 and was buried in Spears Chapel Cemetery. We do not have the names of his parents or siblings. Would it be possible for someone to check the newspapers in perhaps, Woodville or Jasper, and see if they have archives that might have an obituary for him?
