Dear List, Does anyone know if there were any Indian Raids in about 1853-54 time frame in the Shelby Co. area? I have an ancestress who looks American Indian, her children too, but I don't think either of her parents were. The family lore is that they were "full blooded french" but so far I've found at least 1/2 English,-Timms surname and Golden surname-? I wondered about a skeleton in the closet on this one. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated on this one! Thank you, Heather
