She had twelve children and died when my father, Roy Gregston was 14. We do not know where she is buried but think it was near Commerce, Texas. The family was not close after her death. We think she died around 1926. Her marriage licensee has the nickname "Mamie" on it. She is not to be confused with "Jeanie Gregston," my gr. grandmother who died in Wolfe City in 1928. Mary Nancy Caroline Smith came from Chattanooga, Tennessee and the family may have been in England before that. She had one brother, Uncle Jim Smith of Chattanooga, TN. She was disowned by her parents for some reason when she came to Texas to marry our grandpa so the story goes and there is lots of versions. I would just like to find out where her grave is and the record of death and maybe we could find out who her parents were. She is our brick wall.
