Here goes again: My most elusive ancestor is William (Thom, Thomas) HOLLAND b. 1833 unknown birthplace, d. 1866 Tyler County, Texas. Married either a Susan (last name unknown) or a Mary BLACKWELL (according to my now dead great-uncle council). I believe that they may have moved from Georgia, but I am not sure. William had five children: 1. Mitchell Gilbert b. 1860 county unknown, TX d. 1939 Nacogdoches Co, TX 2. Council O. b. 1862 unknown TX, d. 1923 Nacogdoches Co, TX 3. Mary b. 1863 TX(It is said that Mary suffered some sort of ailment) place and death unknown 4. Benjamin N. b. 1864 TX place and death unknown 5. William Jr (born after father's death) 1867 TX place and death unknown All the children are listed on the 1870 Tyler County, TX census with Susan (maiden UNKNOWN) Holland who may or may not have been their mother. Their is also a Rufus (I assume he is a HOLLAND since their is no other surname) listed born 1869 TX. It is also said in my family that Susan remarried a JW DAVIS after William's death.
