    1. Genealogical Christmas Present
    2. Merry Christmas All, Each year some researchers and I save a special genealogical "find" to send to each other as Christmas presents. This arrived in my mail today. In the 1980's (or earlier?) the East Texas Genealogical Society published a List of Registered Voters (White) of Henderson County in 1867. The information was reprinted from the Index to Marks and Brands Book, Henderson County, Texas. The name of the registered voter and place of birth is shown. Bits of other genealogical material is included on some voters. Some of you may know the following information, but I did not. There is a microfilm of the voter records. The records also include for each person the number of years in Texas plus the number of years in the county. This information was not printed in the Quarterly. My photocopies of this record were made in the Dallas Library. I learned mine was three years too late to have been a citizen of the Republic of Texas. I hope this information may be helpful to some of you, and Happy Holidays to all. Betty
