    3. I'm genealogically stupid (& just going off of what I've been reading the messages on the lists that my wife recieves), but I've seen a lot of messages about people doing census information & other things coming in my wife's lists & there is a problem that I have with this. My wife has been very sick in the past year, but still been able to contribute a lot to this project. She's also a very proud woman & won't admit to anyone just how sick she's been, & heaven help the person who does, but she is very proud of what she does & I'm sure everyone else who has a county out there is also just as proud of what they do. Why do you not help them more? I want to tell you all first of all that I've seen it from the other side. I've seen my wife trying to get this information online for all of you genealogists & then I see her state coordinator trying to get people involved . I am not a genealogist & will tell you right now, I don't know more than the very basics of what is going on, except what my wife has told me, but I don't understand why there are not more people involved. If you're going to do this, do it to your best, otherwise, why bother? I've seen all the posts to my wife's website & there are 2 who are offering help & from past knowlege, this is an unusual. She is not able to respond to these at the moment, & I feel she would like me to tell these individuals that she will respond, when able to, but aside from that, I have a question for everyone else on this list. If you are all doing genealogy & all "one small community" as my wife seems to feel, why don't you contribute more? Is it that the county coordinators don't want to be bothered? I've been reading e-mail for my wife (she's indisposed until about July 15th & I have the "pleasure" of updating her queries & deleting "unimportant" e-mail for her), and I don't understand a lot of what I've been seeing in the e-mail. Everyone wants to exchange information & get information, which is great, but can't you add the data that you have to the GenWeb pages? Are you already adding it & I'm not seeing it? I've done a search of many other pages & it looks like the hour or two my wife does each night for her pages is not always typical. There are a lot of sites out there that have nothing on them. I cannot believe there are as many genealogists out there who are willing to use the pages & not contribute. I have changed the e-mail resonse address on this so as to not represent myself mainly because I don't want to have my wife having to deal with anything negative that might come from this & also to help her maintain her "non-sick annomous" status, but as a non-genealogist, I just wanted to see why more isn't being done. Thank you for listening to me.
