THAT KIND OF MAIL DOES NOT CONCERN ME AND JUST JUNKS UP MY MAIL >BOX. > >IF THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS TO UNSCRIBE, THEN UNSCRIBE ME. > >J PAT SMITH >DENHAM SPRINGS LA Pat ... this is the way mail lists work. I am on several and get over 200 posts each day. I work full time and then have a part time job, so I have to be *brutal* when I read my mail -- if I can't quickly tell that I'm interested, I toss it -- otherwise I'd be overwhelmed! The various genealogy lists are full of some of the most helpful and kind people you could ever hope to meet. A little patience and an attempt to understand how and why the lists work as they do would likely reward you with some valuable information and some new-found internet friends. [P.S. I would guess that many of the members of the list found the tone of your post offensive and you may have received some heated responses. Please don't let that dissuade you from joining us -- I'd just suggest you be a little more careful and remember that the list is _people_, not a machine.) regards, Tom Cloud <cloud@peaches.ph.utexas.edu>
