    3. Hi Paul, Many thanks indeed for this extra information. It paints such a different picture to the one I had and also explains a number of problems encountered in the past. So presumably records from a rural area would be more complete as people were more likely to know each other than those in urban areas where populations could 'hide' in over-crowded accommodation.
