    3. I know that there are other Cousens researchers on the list and I thought that they might be interested in the following (I was looking for a record of Thomas Couzens about 1860 but did not find it, although I suspect the one charged with cattle stealing in 1837 is him):   England& Wales, Criminal Registers, 1791-1892 (Trials in Pembrokeshire)   MARGARET COZENS Date of Trial     Jul 1827 Charge & Sentence      Larceny / Acquittal   WILLIAM COZENS Age      24 Date of Trial     Summer 1834 Charge & sentence       ??? cutting and ????? with intent / Death commuted to transportation 14 years   MARTHA COZENS Age      49 Date of Trial     7 Jan 1835 Charge & sentence       Larceny / Imprisonment – one month   JAMES COUSENS Age      27 Date of Trial     8 Apr 1835 Charge & sentence       Larceny / Acquittal   THOMAS COZENS Age      27 Date of Trial     4 Mar 1837 Charge & sentence       Cattle stealing / No Bill   THOMAS COZENS Age      60 Date of Trial     30 Jun 1840 Charge & sentence       Larceny / Imprisonment – one month   ELIZABETH COUSINS Age      35 Date of Trial     29 Jun 1847 Charge & sentence       Larceny / Acquittal   RACHEL COZENS Date of Trial     1 Jul 1851 Charge & sentence       Larceny / Acquittal   ElizabethCozens Date of Trial     29 Jun 1852 Charge & sentence       Larceny / Imprisonment 20 days     The records are on Ancestry   Megan

    3. Dear Megan, There is a Thomas Cousens aged 35 on the "Countess of Harcourt"...the next entry is for the same vessel and the year shown is 1827...he was sent to Patricks Plains, New South Wales, and his master was R. Scott. It does not show where he was tried, or his origin.....this is from the General Return of Convicts in New South Wales 1837.....and is the only entry shown for the various surname spellings......so William Cozens shown below apparently did not come to this State.
