    2. Lynne, I know of one specific instance: Samuel Levi came to Pembrokeshire and was befriended by a Phillips family. In gratitude he changed his family name to Phillips. Samuel's son (? or was he a grandson) Nathaniel Phillips owned a bank in Haverfordwest, which crashed in the 1826 squeeze. I am sure there is an article in WWHR, the Francis Green books.
