Hello Everyone, Thank you very much to you all for your kind offers of a look-up. Big thank you to Gerry Lewis and Pat Powell who were first off the mark and found me information on Llawhaden House. My John Lewis worked for the Skyrmes maybe late 1700's as well as early 1800's. Charlotte Skyrme actually left my great x 4 grandfather, John Lewis money in her will as she described him as a loyal servant. He was a gamekeeper on the 1841 census and when he died in 1844 he was described as a footman. Charlotte Skyrme was concerned about my John Lewis' failing eye-sight and she left him a sum of money to be paid annually for the duration of his life. How times change.
