    3. Annwyl Delyth. Thank you very much for replying. Thanks to Achwr I have now found out that the James Jones who gave Bwlchgwynt 50s per year in his Will of 1789 was in fact a mercer at Tregaron.    He does not mention his wife in his will, so probably she is dead. He mentions daughters and granddaughters. One daughter Armenia Williams was marrried to  Thomas Williams. They had a daughter Mary. There was another daughter Elizabeth Jones and a grand daughter Mary Jones. James' son was his executor, namely John Jones.  All this study by me is because I am trying to find the parents of my direct ancestor John Jones Coedmawr Llanddewi Brefi. I do not know when this John was born but in the mid 1770's 2 illegitimate sons were born to him, namely John Jones  and Nathaniel Jones. Their mother was Judith Abel who for some reason had gone to live in London!  All this gleaned from his Will of 1809! I am the descendant of John Jones who married Magdalen Evans daughter of Roderick Evans Coedygof Llanddewi Brefi.  I hope this info helps someone even if it is so sparse. Hwyl Yvonne
