Andy How far back have you traced your Philpin family? I am interested in an Isaac Philpin who was living at Redstone, Narberth in 1695. He was the son of John and Margaret Philpin of Redstone. Margaret was probably a Protheroe of Llanfallteg. Margaret joined the Quakers, and along with her second husband Henry Lewis, she emigrated to Pennsylvania. Isaac did not share his mother's religious sympathies. It is reported that on 15 Nov 1702, Isaac Philpin was unwilling to let the Friends (Quakers) have the use of his stables.
