    1. Re: [Dyfed] Looking for death certificate of a WW1 Welsh Regiment soldier?

    3. Hello Elizabeth and to everyone on the list who replied to my query in September regarding my grandfather's cousin, David Morgan who served in the army in WW1. Well, just to give you a final word on my research for his death certificate. I found it. Elizabeth was right. After much research and some great ideas from the list, I secured a copy of his death certificate. He died in York Race Military Hospital in Brighton. His address was given as 'Old Hayes, Robeston, Narberth, Pembroke' and his occupation was detailed as 'Lance Corporal no 54295, 15th Welch Regiment' . Cause of death was: 1) Pyrexia of uncertain origin for 46 days and 2) Meningitis for 4 days. Although he had died on the 17 March 1918, his death was not registered until the 5th April. And finally, just for the record, I did find his name in the Carmarthenshire Pals book and I have managed to obtain a wonderful old photograph of him in his Welsh Regiment uniform standing tall, very young and very proud. So, he is not forgotten. Thanks again for all your great ideas on searching for these answers. Kind regards and best wishes, Sarah.
