Hi all I'm new to this list so this is my first posting. My interest is in Enoch Davies & Margaret Jones, my grt grt grandparents They were married in the Penboyr church on 22 March 1831. I don't have any details whatsoever with regard to their parents but from the 1851 Census I know that Enoch Davies was born in Llandyfriog in about 1807 and Margaret Jones in Penboyr about 1810. Their son James was my grt grandfather. He married Susan Bosley in Glamorgan in 1863. James came to Australia in the early 1860s and Susan followed in 1868. I received a copy of the Parish record of their marriage (page 60 #178 of 1831) but sadly no parents are listed. The witness/es are listed as David Davies & David Davies so don't know if they were 2 different people or the person signed twice. I thought that David Davies might be Enoch's father or perhaps a brother but so far can find no clues anywhere. I'm hoping someone on the list is related to these two or knows someone who is/was. I'd dearly love to find Enoch's parents & also Margaret's. Cheers Marcelle in boiling hot unbearable Western Australia
