Having got lost in the NLW website i rang and asked for a step by step guide toWills. I thought I should share what I was told.: 1 Go to NLW website ( easily Googled or from links on this list in last few days.) 2 Click on 'family history' on left hand side, in orange or brown 3 Click 'wills' Responds with reference to pre-1858 wills 4 Enter a date or range and click 'save' 5 Enter a diocese eg St Davids for Pembs, Llandaff for Glamorgan and Mon . 6 Enter a combination of (person)Name;parish;Township or occupation.Responds with wills held and nos of pages. The helpful lady added that these are full transcripts, not digests and .are free to view, downloads are chargeable. Coincidentally, I am experimenting with a digital camera to photograph computer screens, fiche readers screens etc. Any hints and tips welcome esp in glare reduction when using forced flash, also maintaining sharp image wo a tripod and distancing rig. . I may also soon need to photo an original undeposited 1840s marriage register (not Wales) for the RO so any tips welcome on this too. Dick Fowler
