Sylvia, my apologies, having already used this wills website on a number of occasions, how did I overlook the idea ~ must be old age, or my mind was taken up with preparing "Stories behind the Headstones" talk. Harry, The copy I could obtain is only the extract, not the original. The extract contains all the most important information without all the thee's and thou's and who gets the cow, the pig, the brass cooking pot or his best coat etc. >From my own database of all names in all wills proven in/or shown as the parish of Pembroke at the E.C.C. of St David's, which includes both St Mary and St Michael for the period of 1600 to 1700 I note that the surname Cornick (perhaps a corruption of Cornock) is shown in the will of Lewis Cornick of Pembroke St Mary reference nbr 1618/098. This will is NOT shown in the NLoW produced Blue Book of St David’s Wills so I shall send you off list an extract for your interest. This is also not the 1st time that I have noted a will missing from the NLoW index, although it could come up under a name search on the website recommended. For future reference from my database of the baptism register 1748 to 1812 of Pembroke St Mary I note the following ; 23 June 1767 Margaret to Cornelius Cornock baptized. Looking at my database of the “Registers for the 3 Parishes” (St Mary, St Michael & Monkton St Nicholas) 1711 to 1744 I note there are no references to the surname Cornock. I trust the above is of assistance Rgds Owen Vaughan ORIEL a welsh window on a surname Internet Security tips and offers from Tiscali - http://www.tiscali.co.uk/security _______________________________________________________________________
