    1. [Dyfed] CMN & PEM - Charles Edward DAVIES & Herbert DAVIES ca.1920
    2. Peter Davidson
    3. Back in May, I enquired about Margaret JONES, daughter of James & Letitia JONES, bap 16 Aug 1835 in Mathry, PEM. Margaret JONES was a major benefactor in Wickham Skeith, Suffolk and was responsible for the building of our Village Hall in 1909. As it is the centenary of the Village Hall this year, I am trying to find out more about this lady. Listers were very helpful & were able to give me much information on her origins and I would now like to follow the story forwards. Margaret JONES died in 1919 and it is clear from her will that she was a wealthy women who owned much property in CMN & PEM [listed below]. The main benefactors of her will were: "My relative" Charles Edward DAVIES of Lloyds Bank Carmarthen [also mentioned were his son Percival DAVIES & dau Winifred DAVIES]. "My relative" Herbert DAVIES son of the late John William DAVIES of Broomhill. What I would really like to know is whether there are any descendants of these members of the DAVIES family especially [& I know this is a long shot] if they have any information or photographs concerning Margaret JONES. Property [mostly farms & lands] bequeathed by Margaret JONES [as spelled in 1920 copy of will]: PEM Castlecenlas [Mathry] Trejenkin, Llanrythan Mill [Llanrythan] Vachelich [St Davids] Brurynant, Glyngim, Parkquarre [Manorowen] Penwenallt [Cillgeran] CMN Vronvron, Plaspwydd, Cwmlluryd [Llanwinio] Many thanks, Pete Davidson [in Suffolk, preparing for an exhibition marking the Centenary of the Wickham Skeith Jones Memorial Hall]
