I have traced a direct line back to William Cornock born in 1804 in Newbridge, Scleddau. I believe his parents were called David and Mary. The family went on to live mainly in Manorowen/Llanstinian areas. I am now tracing another Cornock - David born 1889 in Llanfair-nant-Y-Gof, Pembs who married my great-grandmother's sister Rachel Thomas in 1916. This David Cornock's family - father James, Grandfather William all lived Llanfair-nant-y-gof too i've found a connection on RootsWeb which says the two families were related further back.. not too much of a stretch.
