    3. Brian Have a look at the Sion/Seion entries on Genuki, and Dyfed FHS, and then the translation from the Hanes books. Seems Penmaes glas was also the name of the chapel place. After an admittedly cursory reading I am confused between the two chapels, did one replace the other ? But in any event the pics on the FHS site suggest there wasn't room for a graveyard, adjacent at least.. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CGN/Aberystwyth/Chapels.html http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CGN/Hanes4.html#ABERYSTWYTH Let me know if you feel some additional explantion would help clarify the two Genuki entries Gareth Genuki Wales http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/ Help Page http://home.clara.net/tirbach/hicks.html Cwmgors/Waun http://www.tytwp.plus.com/Waun/Waun.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Forder" <brian.forder@ukonline.co.uk> To: <DYFED@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 27, 2009 9:14 AM Subject: [Dyfed] Penmaes Glas, Aberystwith > Greetings Listers, > > I have on a Death Certificate for 1862, the place of Death as Penmaes > Glas. > > I notice on the Welsh Chapels list that there was Sion Ind Chapel in > Vulcan Street, Aberyswith in later years descendants lived in Vulcan St. > > Can anyone give me more information on this Chapel and if there was a > graveyard attached. > > Regards, > > Brian Forder
