    1. [Dyfed] John, Shears, & Richards follow up
    2. Bob I am totally confused by which media (Forum/Digest or email) you prefer your requirements and queries to be answered on, so in this case have plumped for the Digest. I trust the following is new, from my index of Pembroke St Michael Mrge register 1837 to 1908 13 Dec 1851 Charles Shears of full age a bach and baker of the Eastend the son of James Evans a Seaman mrd Jane Williams of full age a spinster and servant of the Eastend the daughter of Arnold Williams a ploughman by banns in front of W. M.D. Berrington Charles signed his name and Jane Made her mark in front of John Barrett and George Froyne. (Please note George was Parish Clerk at this time) 08 Apr 1899 Charles Shears aged 23 a bach and labourer of the Eastend the son of George Shears a labourer mrd Martha Ellen John aged 22 a spinster of the Eastend the daughter of George John a labourer by banns in front of T.J.L. Davies. Both made their mark in front of Richard Francis John, Rosinia Ann John and William George James. 30 June 1904 William Shears aged 20 a bach and labourer of the Eastend the son of George Shears a labourer mrd Margaret Shanklin aged 20 a spinster of the East end the dau of William Shanklin a labourer in front of J.Davis. Both signed their names in the presence of William (X) Shanklin and Jane Shanklin. >From my index of Pembroke St Michael Bapt Reg 1839 to 1901 the following are to George & Catherine Johns (note the ‘s’) of the Eastend :~ 23 Mar 1884 James William, 15 Aug 1886 Ida Georgina, 02 Nov 1888 Catherine Lavinia, 18 Jan 1891 Lilian Alice, 30 Apr 1897 Violet Irene, 02 Dec 1876 Martha Ellen. The following are to George & Catherine John (note no ‘s’) :~ 06 July 1879 Rosinia Ann, 27 Nov 1881 Richard Francis, 11 Oct 1895 William George Henry, 31 Mar 1899 Victor Charles. As advised previous by other means, if your Shears relate to the St Flo, then you are related to the Oriel’s if somewhat tenuous. Please do not confuse this John family of George and Catherine, with the 18 children to George Henry & Margaret John of the Eastend who are my wife’s ancestoral relations by mrge. George Henry was the son of George & Louisa John of the East End, but is not the George Henry shown as baptised 1879 at St Michael. With relation to your request surrounding the parents of the children shown in the latest Digest I can offer nothing further A.T.T., than I have supplied you previous. I apologize for any wrong posting media, but trust error is offset by the above being of some assistance to your research.
