    3. Dear John Thats interesting.  I wonder why.  Perhaps related to the Ancestry growing availability, and their message boards (which I generally find very disappointing). None of the message boards, except perhaps Rootschat and Genesreunited, have satisfactory internal search mechanisms.  Also, since 2000 or thereabouts there has been a phenomenal growth in on-line data provision and accompanying chat.   Presumably if Dyfed split into three then the Cardiganshire group messages would be comparatively very very small.    Never mind... perhaps our discussions focus on Quality rather than Quantity.   Thank you also for your update photos of Christs College, Brecon.  I didn't know the chapel was dedicated to St. Nicholas, very seasonal, and beautiful photographs.   Jen   --- On Fri, 11/12/09, John Ball <john@jlb2005.plus.com> wrote: From: John Ball <john@jlb2005.plus.com> Subject: Re: [Dyfed] No messages? Glamorgan has by far the highest population; both Dyfed and Powys are low, with Powys the most sparsely populated of all the post-1974 Welsh counties. This is reflected in the traffic on the various mailing lists. It's also true that with the possible exception of the Glamorgan List, the traffic on the Welsh mailing lists is lower now than at anytime in their history. The Powys List webpage includes a bar chart illustrating the monthly traffic on the Powys List from 1998 to the present - access the chart at: www.jlb2005.plus.com/powyslist.htm#stats The chart shows that traffic peaked in the year 2000 and has been steadily falling ever since. The Dyfed List traffic probably follows the same general pattern.
