Lynne, The GRO indexes are just that - indexes, and cover all marriages. There are no images of certificates. As far as I can see, the only images of parish registers on Ancestry are for London (Surrey and Middlesex). These are for churches only. I doubt if Register Office Marriages will ever be on line unless there is a change of heart in government.
