Dear Vera I noticed a quiet time as well. Perhaps peaks correspond with TV series - and troughs with big religious festivals, or big secular holidays. So, having nothing better to do, I made a comparative table... Glamorgan (who have a very high number of messages, but a much larger area and population; Dyfed and Powys The list doesn't accept attachments, but those time on their hands could convert the data into a bar chart or similar. Figures show a similar drop in the other lists... so it wasn't something we said - perhaps all the Dyfed regulars have gone on hols or a cruise ? Glamorgan has by far the highest population; both Dyfed and Powys are low, with Powys the most sparsely populated of all the post-1974 Welsh counties. This is reflected in the traffic on the various mailing lists. It's also true that with the possible exception of the Glamorgan List, the traffic on the Welsh mailing lists is lower now than at anytime in their history. The Powys List webpage includes a bar chart illustrating the monthly traffic on the Powys List from 1998 to the present - access the chart at: www.jlb2005.plus.com/powyslist.htm#stats The chart shows that traffic peaked in the year 2000 and has been steadily falling ever since. The Dyfed List traffic probably follows the same general pattern.
