    3. Hi Lynne, Google for "Edward ap Griffith" and various entries come up. Guto is Welsh for Griffith. You didn't mention which county Trenewydd was in, CMN, CGN or PEM, so cannot tell if any are relevant. Minor correction-and I'm sure what Anne meant - Guto is the accepted diminutive/pet-name for someone called Gruffudd/Gruffydd/Griffith as I assume several of my ancestors were- my paternal grandmother was a Griffiths before she married as was probably my ggg grandmother in the same line!).
