    3. Lea Thanks for that. Yes Margaret's family were Owen James & Phebe - farming virtually next door to Rhosfach at Rhydmeryddfawr on the 1861 census. I believe that Elizabeth's father's name was Thomas Thomas, who died in 1818 while living at Closbach. My Elizabeth Thomas was living there at the same time with her husband Morris MORGAN. I wouldn't be at all surprised if our lines crossed and we shared a common ancestor. Maybe Thomas Thomas. Hopefully somewhere along the road we'll find some new information. Do you know who Margaret's JAMES family was? My link is through the son Thomas Thomas - who married Margaret (nee James) and farmed in the 1851 census at Rhosvach (Rhosfach) and then through their son Owen - showing in the 1861 census - still at Rhosfach. 3. Hi, Just thought I'd let you know that my 3xGgrandfather farmed at Rhydymerydd in Cilymaenllwyd, sometime in 1700's. He moved from there to Brynymeini in Abernant. His name was Erasmus Philipps born 1734 and died 1808.So far have not discovered when he lived anywhere, he had a brother John who seemed to have stayed in Cilymaenllwyd but unless I find a Will I can't tell one John P from another.
