Hi Tommy, I can't say that I have a much information about your 3x G grandparents that live in Pompren Mill in 1841, but I am also interested in them. Actually, I started looking at them seriously just a couple of days ago. My 4x G grandmother is Elizabeth Morgan. Her maiden name was Thomas (do I say nee Thomas?). She lists Llandissilio as her place of origin, which I believe is still Cilymaenllwyd (correct me if I'm wrong). I've been tracing some names of pall-bearers at her son and daughter-in-law's funeral and Benlan is one of those names. Benjamin Thomas is living in Lan, Cilymaenllwyd in 1866. He lives there with his father in 1841, in Cilymaenllwyd. On a couple of census' he has nieces and nephews staying with him, one from Cilymaenllwyd. I believe these may all be part of the Thomas family of my 4x G grandmother. The four houses to one side of Pomren Mill house are all related MORGAN and JAMES. Do you have any other information at all about this family? Any relatives in Monachlogddu, Pemb. by chance? Lea
Lea Yes Cilymaenllwyd is in the Llandissilio area - on the border between PEM and CMN. My link is through the son Thomas Thomas - who married Margaret (nee James) and farmed in the 1851 census at Rhosvach (Rhosfach) and then through their son Owen - showing in the 1861 census - still at Rhosfach.
