    3. Dear Roger   I can find a David Moses of Cray who appears to have been an enthusiastic sheep stealer.   Western Mail, Oct 21 and 24 1891.  6 months with hard labour for one of his appearances in the quarter sessions - failed to find the verdict/sentence for his second appearance that year.   In the first case a sheep was brought into in court to demonstrate the owner's identification marks.   I'll send attachments to you separately with .jpgs of the relevant pages.   Best wishes   Jen --- On Fri, 21/8/09, ROGER M. EVANS <r.evans441@btinternet.com> Subject: [Dyfed] Criminal Records- Dartmoor inmate To: dyfed@rootsweb.com Date: Friday, 21 August, 2009, 11:01 PM I find that according to the 1901 census one of my connections, thankfully remote, wound up in Dartmoor. In 1891 the family was farming in Crai, Defynnock but by 1901 the wife and children are living in Brynaman. Is there any way that I can find out what was the reason for his incarceration? He was David Bowen MOSES, born Llywel 1859. Many thanks in advance Roger M Evans ================================ Dyfed list http://home.clara.net/daibevan/DyfedML.html ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to DYFED-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
