    3. Dear Yvonne, To add to Paul's reply, Francis Green's WWHR under Pemb. Parsons shows Edward Harries from 1824 until July, 1850 when he probably died, as his successor was a Rev. Thomas Harries from August, 1850. I have a Henry Harries born Llandissilio who married Mary Devonald in 1828 at Nevern ...he was shown as Henry Harry on the marriage index, but in other entries he is shown as Harries and that is the surname his children bore. Henry did not name a child Edward...and I must confess I have never looked too far for his parentage, but if you find the Rev. Edward's details I would like to know if there is a connection. Under "Bryndysil, Llandisilio West" Major Francis Jones wrote "A large house near the parish church at the north end of Llandisilio village, marked as Bryndissil on Colby's Map 1831, In 1847 it was the home of Reverend Edward Harries. In 1862 it was the home of Reverend Thomas Harries, clerk, who is said to have built Bryndysil as his residence, and it contains some remnants of ancient stone work taken from Llandisilio church. It is now owned by Mr. Skeel Harries, who has sold Bryndysil house, but retains the land which he farms. Refs, RCAM, 1925, P.160. It seems as if the original dwelling was demolished, or at least partially rebuilt Major Jones died in 1993 so this would have been written and refer to a time before 1993.
