Hi, Try looking at the 1841 census for Thomas aged 2 and born in Carm with a father Morgan aged around 23 born in Carm. Ages were not always exact. It is possible that his wife died in the 8 months just before the 1851 census was taken and that his family or his in-laws moved to help him bring up his children. His wife might have been a Jones.
