Dear Dai, As ages were usually rounded down in the 1841 census, Thomas and Elizabeth may have been closer to 70, but as some enumerators actually put the correct age, we can't be sure of this. There is no Mathry marriage listed between a Thomas Evan and an Elizabeth, but as Mathry is in Dewisland Hundred they might well be: Thomas Evan married Elizabeth Richard 1785, St. David's Thomas Evan married Elizabeth William 1787, Llanrhian Thomas Evan married Elizabeth Williams 1792, Llanwnda...........probably the most likely. A Thomas Evan married Lettice Bowen at Mathry in 1792, so perhaps Lettice was known as Elizabeth. A Thomas Evans is listed as marrying Elizabeth Morgan at Llanrhian from the BT's in 1807.
