Dear Yvonne, I think we have discussed this previously. The St. Cristiolus church MI's show later Selbys at Eglwyswrw at Huan but no Shelbys. This property was previously occupied by the Hughes family...David Hughes married Margaret Daniel at Eglwyswrw in 1800. There might be deed information on The Nat. Library site....David Hughes was in residence until at least 1820 according to the Land Tax records. I presume you refer to Whitechurch-in-Cemais, which is next to Meline..both are close to Eglwyswrw. Daniel Peregrine in 1799 at Meline married Dorothy David and Griffith Peregrine in 1734 married Susanna Deveraux there. This does not of course mean that Griffith and Daniel were domiciled in Meline.....it could be their brides' parish. Have you by any chance purchased these parish register marriage entries (or perhaps you are in a position to view them)..... witness names often give further clues. Who witnessed Anne Peregrine and William Shelby's marriage?
