Hello list, Wonder if somebody can find my William Thomas, born 10-02-1868 at Llanelly. He married my Elisabeth Roberts in 1891, but possibly left her after 1892. Was told that he moved up to Pembroke Dock, possibly North Street. Elwyn - netherlands.
Once again many thanks to all who have helped me locate this recycling site!! I am not sure what our ancestors would have made of our need to recycle / reduce the amount of waste going to landfill - I suspect that in the days when Morgan's Park was a farm that nothing would have gone to waste. Megan
Hello Jen I've not heard of Digimap, is it online? Your map confirms what I thought, that Morgans Park would seem to be in the vicinity of the landfill and recycling sorting facility at Withyhedge. I think this must be the orange building showing on your contemporary map with the landfill beyond it. It was Megan who was searching for Morgans Park, hopefully this info will help her. I've certainly enjoyed the search! Have you asked Nikki Bosworth about this? She is normally pretty good at tracking down a relevant map with this degree of detail. Better not wait too long - as they will be closing down to move the Record Office soon to new premisies. Hello list, Wonder if somebody has come across the Davies family from Blackhall, Cwmcoy, Newcastle Emlyn. Only know that he was present at the death of Mary Davies in 1890. She died 2-8-1890 after having her second baby Mary. How sad for the baby who never knew her mother. Mary Davies was born in 1861, possibly at Manordeifi. Baby Mary is in the 1891 census with her father John Davies at Pantyrhaidd, Brongwyn. David Davies must have been near 30 in 1891. Elwyn - netherlands.
Many thanks to all those who replied. Unfortunately none of them have shown the farm I was looking for - Morgan's Park, Rudbaxton - it last appears in the 1891 census, having first appeared in the 1851 census. regards Megan ________________________________
