Faye, I have several Dyess families on the 1790 census of Barnwell, SC as well as court records (land deeds and probate) in Barnwell Co. before they begin to show up in Georgia. See the book by Pam Trammell, "The Descendants of the Dyess Brothers of Barnwell, South Carolina". She has documented all this...just wish we could get beyond SC to Europe..... Linda
