March 23, 1965 J. B. Dyess Alexandria--J. B. Dyess, 89, died at his home in Gardner Monday. He was a retired farmer and had served two terms in the Ward 6 as constable. Funderal services will be held at 2:30 pm today in Calvary Baptist Church at Gardner. Burial will be in the church cemetery, under the direction of John Kramer and Son Funeral Home. Survivors are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Marler and Mrs. Jodie Marler of Hineston, and Mrs. Jessie Dubois of Seipter; six sons: Elbert Dyess, The Rev. E. L. Dyess, the Rev. B. G. Dyess of Gardner, the Rev. O. C. Dyess of Ferriday, Rufus Dyess of Berkley, Calif., and Lloyd C. Dyess of Pineville; a sister, Mrs. Marh Singletary of Tioga; 20 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.... =========== Wednesday, March 24, 1965 FUNERALS J. B. Dyess Funderal services for J. B. Dyess were held at 2:30 PM Tuesday in the Calvary Baptist church in Gardner with Reverends Carlton Winberry, R. W. Coody, R. E. Johnson, Carl Burris and T. C. Bonnette officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery under direction of John Kramer and Son Funeral Home. Pallbearers were J. B. Dubois, Elwood Dyess, Malcolm Dyess, Keith Marler, Troy Marler and D. C. Marler. ===========
