Kaite, the dates, 1858 and 1860, were the dates shown for land purchases from the federal government in AL. H. Jack DYESS enlisted May 11, 1862 at Montgomery, AL as a Private, Company K, 33rd Regt. Alabama Infantry. He was wounded in the Battle of Murfreesboro, was sent to a hospital, was captured at Stone's River, and died Jan 29, 1863 at Murfreesboro, from the gun shot wound.
